What is KimchiTiger?

KimchiTiger is a Korean food hype machine. Our goal is to spread the love of Korean food. We want people to discover and explore Korean food in a fun and exciting way. We do this through our line of hand-drawn t-shirts and our blog about Korean food, restaurants, recipes, events, cooking classes and more.

What's so special about Korean food?

From kimchi to Korean BBQ, Korean food is a party in your mouth that does the body good. Korean food is all about fresh, seasonal ingredients and time-tested methods. It's about simplicity. It's about balance -- of flavors, colors and textures.

But Korean food is more than just delicious delights. It's about bringing people together over a meal. It's about sharing conversations over shared plates of banchan (small plates) and family style dishes. We hope to give anyone who hasn't tried this experience a taste so they too can fall in love with the cuisine. For those that are already familiar with the cuisine, we hope to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of the food.

Why do you do this?

1. We love Korean food. We are passionate about Korean food and want to share it with the world.

2. We want to connect people around food and create a positive community. One that encourages, supports and fosters greatness.

3. We want to give back. We are grateful for what we have and want to help those less fortunate.

Who are you?

KimchiTiger was founded by a Korean American to spread the love of Korean food. Growing up, he abandoned his heritage to fit in, but through Korean food he was able to find his roots and discover his true identity.

We are a team of passionate and hungry people based in Brooklyn, NY. We come from different backgrounds and walks of life, but we are connected through our love and appreciation of Korean food.

KimchiTiger started as a fun side project, conceived on a surf trip to Rockaway Beach. We are still a small company but we have big aspirations to become THE platform for promoting Korean food.

We hope you will join us on the ride. It's only just begun.
